CAPST, Chinese Association of Professional in Science and Technology, founded in October 1992, is a registered, non-political, non-profit, professional organization. Its goal is to utilize its members expertise in science, technology, management, and other professional fields to achieve self-improvement and prosperity, to promote scientific, technological, cultural, and economic exchanges between the United States and China, and to provide services and opportunities for its members to actively participate in community activities.
With over 1,000 members, CAPST is one of the largest Chinese professional organizations in Southern USA. From 2002 “Sino-US Symposium on Hi-Tech and Economic Developments” to 2005 “Symposium on Sino-US Finance Cooperation & Enterprise Development” to 2007 “Sino- US Energy Market Development & Risk Management Symposium”, CAPST has been playing an important and influential role in the Chinese Community in Houston and Southern U.S.A.
中国旅美专家协会（简称“专协”）是总部设在美国德克萨斯州休斯敦的一个非政治性和非营利性的专业团体。它的宗旨是为中美之间的科技、经济、文化、及人才的交流服务，为中国旅美科技专家、学者建立交流的平台和开拓事业发展的机会。经过二十五年的努力，专协已经发展成了包括能源、化工、医学、环保、经济、金融、法律等领域的综合性的专业组织。专协人以专业和奉献的精神始终不懈地为中美交流事业谱写壮丽篇章。
